While up in Idaho, Nick and I took a day away to let Grandma and Grandpa spoil the kids rotten while we went camping!
Woohoo! It was actually my first time away from my babies over night ever.... and I didn't feel bad about it at all. I knew they were in good hands. Nick and I drove up above the Cub River Ranches, unloaded the four wheeler packed with camping stuff, and took a nice long ride up and over the mountains on the German
Dugway and across the Paris Flats. It was beautiful! We went to the ice caves (where there is ice all year round...
brrrr!) and then drove over to Paris, Idaho for dinner. Sounds glamorous
ehh? Not so much, but it was really fun! We ate at the only
restaurant in the tiny little town and then headed back up the trail to claim a spot and set up camp.

We actually found the perfect place with soft grass in nice little grove of Aspen Trees. There was TONS of dead wood laying around and we had a fire going for probably 5 hours! The stars were so beautiful up there, and it was so fun to just sit and talk with Nick about anything and everything without having to worry about the kids waking up, or rushing off to bed in case the babies decided to demand food at 3 AM, etc.

It was so nice to get away for a day and know that our kids were in perfectly capable and loving hands. Thanks Grandma
Lael and Grandpa Stuart! You're the best!
