Playing at the Resevoir
My dear sister, Erin and her husband, Ryan, popped in for a visit this week! We were so excited to see them, and Alec was more than thrilled to have "Maggie" (Erin's Mini Cooper) parked on our drive way. He LOVES that car! Anyway, I took advantage of the fun, energetic, talented family I had visiting, and we headed out to Racoon River Park for a family photo shoot! I'm always looking for photo ideas and love to study other people's work. I'm an admirer of Feeling the Photo, and find guilty pleasure looking at celebrity family photo shoots with my sister so I can steal their poses and ideas. When it really comes down to it though, we just take about a million photos, and hope that a few cute ones come out of the lot... if not there is always photo shop right?

I thought they turned out pretty well, especially since Alec was freaking out the majority of the time. I guess that's what I get letting him get away with a less than an hour nap that day. :-) Thanks Erin and Ryan for you all your help and patience!

I love them all! My favorite, though, is the standard family photo sitting. I also love the very first one at the top of the post.
I think they are all just darling. I am always a tradionalist and would probably pick a more "basic/standard" pose. Although seriously you can't go wrong. And I think your little camping night out sounds like HEAVEN! I haven't been on 4 wheeler forever and I can't think of anything more fun!

I think my favorites are the "Standard family shot sitting" and the "swings" shot. But all of them are cute and wall worthy!

I like the swings photo. I can just see that in your living room. But they are all good! You are a very photogenic family!

I miss those babies so much! I just don't know what to do without baby therapy... ;) I love all those pictures so much... Right now I'm just deciding which one to save as my desktop... Give Lyssa Lou and Alec all my love!

I love the first one and I love "Playing with Babies" I guess I'm not much of a traditionalist though...

I can't believe how cute these are!
Oooooh...I can't decide! I love the shot with the swings, but I also love "Playing with babies." And "The babies" is absolutely adorable--they even have the same expressions!
