Can You Say "Passive Aggressive?" (and a great deal!)

Last year my dear sister, Erin, gave our family the most wonderful Christmas gift. A gift that keeps on coming and makes you think every time you see it. She gave us The Economist. We probably don't read it nearly as much as we should, but 80 pages of mostly text is hard to get through every week. I usually read most of the articles concerning the US and the occasional different article concerning world affairs (as long as it looks interesting and not over my head... I'm no economist you know). Anyway, yesterday our Economist magazine arrived looking like this....If you look close you can see that someone tried to tare President Elect Barak Obama's face off the cover, and then taped it back on. The cover was torn off the magazine and looked pretty mangled. What is up with that?I know there are people out there that are upset about the election results, and you can all blame me and my Great Grandma, Grammy, because we both voted for Barak Obama. Still, though, can you say "PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE?"

Nick told me that the US Postal Service is laying people off for the first time in a long time so they can "cut costs". I can only imagine some disgruntled postal worker coming across my magazine and wanting to tare it to shreds, then gaining control of themselves and trying to tape it back together. So are the US Postal Services workers blaming Obama for the layoffs? Is he really at fault at all or is this another one of those "Blame George Bush/Dick Cheney for Global Warming" kind of things? Obviously I just don't know and I want to know what my readers think.

On a different note, I went to Old Navy this morning (sans cute kiddos!) and had a "What Not to Wear" kind of an experience trying on jeans. It was great and it's nice to finally have a pair of pants that fits well! They had some killer deals and with my 30% off for friends and family coupon I walked away with.... three of these (cami and cardigans in black with white stripe, brown with teal stripe, and navy blue with green stripe) for under a $1 each! I also found a couple other cute shirts for $4 and under. I actually forgot my coupon at home, but the cashier up front was really nice and gave me one she had in the back. I walked out of that store getting way more than I expected, under budget, feeling like a queen. I LOVE great deals! (P.S. If you want one of the 30% coupons for Old Navy, Gap, or Banana Republic for this weekend, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you!)
