It's that time of year again where I drag my family out to take pictures. Only this time we were supposed to have a photographer, but at the last minute she had to cancel. No matter. I grabbed my tripod and a friend to push the button on the family pics and we got some great shots.
This last one, as untraditional as it may be, is my favorite of our little family. It sums up my feelings about my crazy beautiful life pretty well.

Most of our favorite pictures of ourselves are timer pictures. I know they don't work as well with tiny babies, but you have so much more control over the shots.
I like these kinds of photos best too Chrissy...spontaneous...kind of (because lets be honest, I have planned the clothing, the setting, how we are sitting and am posing even if I am laughing or whatever...) I like these kinds of photos because they are more "real." I am not a fan of overly posed or perfect photos, because that is not an honest portrayal of life. I find honesty a lot more refreshing than stagnant "posed" photos. For me, these usually come across as constipated and stuffy.
