8 is great! I've seen some of these that have 30 or even 50.... but I think I can handle 8....
1. I LOVE dark chocolate... and I've been eating gobs and gobs of chocolate lately, but thanks to the nursing, I weigh as much now as I did as a freshman in high school! Thank you nursing!
2. I sleep with a knee pillow every night. Pregnancy ruined me and now I always need one for the head, one for the knees. :-)
3. I hate Road Trips! Despite the fact that I absolutely dreaded the Great American Road Trip as a child and teenager (hate cars, hate car sickness, hate throwing up), I am subjecting my children to the same thing! How else are you supposed to visit all of your relative in one summer! Bring on the 16 hour days in the car. We're going to Grandma's house!
4. I HEART To Do lists. In fact sometimes I feel a little OCD about them. I can't start a week without a list. I can't go shopping without a list. I can't pack bags for vacation without a list.... In fact, I think I need more festive notepads around my house for my many lists. :-) Okay so maybe I can do all these things without lists, but I feel seriously unorganized...
5. I have always secretly been envious of people with dimples, freckles and glasses. As a kid I thought the dimples would make me cuter, the freckles would make me look tan, and the glasses would help me look smarter. I'm sure someday when my eyes are giving out I won't be so excited about the glasses, but as a kid I really wanted them!
6. I have a special love for poka dots... like I've had a thing for them waaaaaay before they were cool. In fact, in 4th grade my retainer was pink with purple poka dots. Yikes! I also had my mom make me a really cute black dress with big white poka dots when I was in high school. I even wore it to church in college... and then I got pregnant, realized I'd never have such a tiny waist again, and gave it to Nichelle. :-)
7. I LOVE to bake. I may not be the most amazing baker, but I know a lot of it has to do with lack of experience. I still try every once and a while, but my opportunities to bake are much more limited now. Back when Nick and I were dating every once and a while on lazy Sunday afternoons I would get a crazy idea and next thing you know I've made Nick my su-chef as we make 4-6 different kinds of cookies all in one day. I secretly want to own my very own bakery someday and "make the world a better place one cookie at a time." (name that movie!) I guess that isn't so much of a secret anymore though, is it?
8. I love to play hostess... as long as I don't have to be a trophy wife! I love throwing parties and cooking yummy food and getting everything set up festive for a celebration with friends (or people that I want to be my friends), but I'm a little too unorganized and informal to be a trophy wife. Good thing I didn't marry the CEO type, yes? I've always loved playing hostess though, and used to dream of owning and running an Inn (this was way before Lorelai showed us all how to do it on 'Girlmore Girls') with my best friend in 5th grade. Oh the dreams that we dream as a kid.

There are my 8 random facts. Maybe you learned a little, maybe you learned a lot, and maybe you already knew all this about me before. So what did you dream about becoming when you were a kid? Anyone want to help me start a bakery?

Chrissy, you are so cute! And I'm amazed you're as tiny as you were as a freshman in high school. I'm definitely not the same size as I was then--and I haven't even had kids. I totally know what movie you're talking about...the one where the guy's a character in a book...but I can't think of the title right now. You can make my tummy better one cookie at a time whenever you want! :)
I'll start one with you! I love chocolate and cookies, but I don't think we would be able to sell many, I eat to much of the cookie dough! :) Hope you guys are having a Great Road Trip!
Stranger Than Fiction...am I right? When I grew up I always wanted to be a teacher, mother, or doctor. Two out of three isn't bad, and I'll let Ben take care of the doctor part. But I must say, I am a "lister" myself. It just makes me happy to sit down, make the list, and then cross items off (that part REALLY feels good)!
Is that top picture Glenwood? Oh, good times!
