I thought I would try and beat my dear wife on posting on something very exciting in our lives. No, there is not a new baby on the way, but I think this is up on the list of cool things. After four and a half years we will finally be able to put the dish drying rack away. That's right we now have a DISHWASHER!!
We found it on Craigslist for $50, but paid $40 as it needed some major cleaning (I'm sure more on that experience will be coming later), and Chrissy can take all of the credit for that. Unfortunately there was one casualty in all of this, but I'm sure Chrissy will explain more on that too. While she was cleaning I was out at Lowe's looking for one new caster wheel and the faucet attachment as it is a portable dishwasher. That was a frustrating experience as there was only one person in Lowe's (and ironically it wasn't the plumbing guy) who could show me where the attachments were. I went through 6 different Lowe's people. Argh! But, when I got home the dishwasher was clean! (Chrissy really is amazing, I love her so much!).
Now, life will be a little easier as we can now just throw about 85% of the dishes in the dishwasher and let the machine do the rest. Technology is awesome and I love it..."always and forever."

Congratulations!!!! This is very exciting news and I'm glad you guys found one a such a good price.
Woohoo!
Viva la technology! I feel you on the hand-washed dishes thing, and I'm sure Ryan does too. We don't even have a dishrack because we don't have much counter space. I just make whoever does the dishes dry them after we wash them and put them away.
Any furniture that hasn't been given to us we purchased on craigslist. It's not such a hot thing here in W. Lebanon... but back in Utah we found some great things. Way to go!
