~The Yellow Kitchen~

Remember way back in August and September when we were remodeling our kitchen and you, my dear readers, kept asking for pictures but I never posted any saying that I would once I decorated? Well, I still haven't decorated, but here are some pictures anyway.

This is the kitchen walking in from the dining area. All original cupboards were removed, but the new special additions here are the cupboards around and above the stove, the built in microwave, and the corner cupboard with the glass window. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to put up on top.
This is a view coming in from the side door of the house. The big addition here is, of course, the built in dishwasher and the deep granite composite sink.
The side by side fridge is new, and we sure love the ice maker and water dispenser on the front. We also love that it has a lock so the babies don't spray water all over the floor all day. We didn't have any cupboards on that side of the kitchen at all before. I love having the extra storage and pantry space.
I love everything about this sink. I even love the fixtures. I also love that I can see the kids playing on the deck or swing set out the back window when I stand here.
I must admit I spend a lot of time in this corner of my kitchen, as it is where the laptop resides. One of the drawers below hold my phone and stash of thing I don't know where to put. With my calendar on the wall, it's my own little corner.
This is my favorite corner of the kitchen. I think I will slowly add more accents of blue, but for now this will have to do. (And yes, that is a basket of mangos and a pomegranate in the corner. Sam's Club had them on sale, and who am I to resist such seasonal deliciousness! As my mother said the babies and I are frugivores.)And this is the view to the side door. Notice the new door that still needs to be painted white? Yeah, we're getting there. No we did not replace the door as part of our kitchen remodel. That is another story for another day. (Notice my recycling sitting in a pile next to the door? Just keeping it real...)
So now that you've seen it, my decorator friends, what do you think? Have any ideas for me? I'm all ears.

i like that the magnets are up super high so little hands can't reach. do you have space to add family pics? that always makes a room more like home.

I love the kitchen, but I think you already know that. :)

I did want to say that lyssa's reading request, "kitten's first full moon," is one of jakob's favorite as well. He fell in love with it at library story time one week, and we check it out a lot!

Oh, wait...I have a question for you...where did you get the faucet?

I have nothing new to say...the kitchen looks so great...though mine is like 1/8th the size of yours (I am not kidding) I hope that it too will one day look nice.
Congrats on the seasonal work...Aaron used to work for the GAP I bet you get killer discounts on the merchandise.
