~Mr. Golden Sun, Thanks for Shining Down On Me!~

Sunny 70 degree days kept us outdoors this week. For three days straight we spent practically every waking moment outside and I did absolutely nothing except play with my kids. It was perfect!

We ran around barefoot in summer clothes, eating popsicles, jumping on the trampoline, playing soccer, riding bikes, swinging high on the swings and blowing bubbles. Lyssa was pretty excited to be able to wear her summer dresses outside. "It's just like Costa Rica, Moma!"

We also pulled out the sidewalk chalk for the first time this season. What fun!!!

In few weeks we are going to visit Erin and Ryan who will be our tour guides around New York City! I've never been to the Big Apple so I'm beyond excited! We all have the city on the brain. Alec drew a fantastic rendition for us all. This is Alec's version of The Statue of Liberty.

And this is Alec posing with his Empire State Building. He was pretty proud of himself, and to be honest I was really impressed!

Elyssa had me draw all sorts of flowers and butterflies for her to color in. We also enjoyed searching for flowers in our own yard. We don't have a ton, but we do have a few smiling happy spring flowers. Isn't this daffodil beautiful?

All good things must come to an end and we are now officially back in chilly weather with rainy days, but I don't mind too much. The rain makes everything pretty and green and the cold won't last forever. Before we know it the beautiful sunny days will be back again and when they are we will be ready for them with bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and popsicles in tow.

That dress on Lyssa makes me happy. It reminds me that my girlie was once little. Ya for sunny days!
