Easter came and went months ago, but I'm finally getting around to blogging about it. After a lovely few hours at church we came home to easter baskets. We went the route of very little candy this year, but I still think the kiddos were please with their loot. :-)
Since we were in Omaha visiting the zoo the day before we missed all the easter egg hunts. We decided to have our own egg hunt in the backyard. The kids were thrilled!
They ran around like crazy finding eggs all over the backyard. Alec was sooo quick! Sometimes Elyssa would get a little frustrated so we were sure to help her out a bit, making it fun for everyone. The eggs were mostly filled with cheerios and the kids were kind enough to share with Cordy.
Cordy enjoyed watching the older kids run all over the yard from a view way up high!
She is getting braver and braver all the time. :-)
We felt very lucky to have Grandma Shannon there to celebrate Easter with us. It made everything all that much more special.
Happy (late) Easter!

Good job with deemphasizing candy for Easter. There are much cooler ways to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. Your kids are too adorable. I miss them.
