Spring Time and our Triumphs!

Spring time is LOVELY! I love all that Spring has brought to us. As a friend of mine recently said "Spring has put an extra little oumph in my step!" I love watching my babies grow. I love spending afternoons out on the deck in the backyard. I love running and walking every morning I can. I love taking Alec and Elyssa to the park and watching Alec try new things and make new triumphs! I love the sunshine!
I love the beautiful flowers that popped out of my tree in the front yard! Last year when we moved in I thought that tree was sick and dying because in July there were hardly any leaves and the ones that were there were all spotted brown. Who would have thought that it would be so full and green! That wasn't enough though. A few days after the green came then the blossoms came! It's beautiful! I LOVE IT! It lets off the most beautiful scent every time I walk out my front door and right now when the wind blows you get showered with pretty white flower petals. To me it is the embodiment of SPRING!
This spring has brought my own triumphs along as well! I continue to try to run as often as possible, and if I'm not running with the jogger I can easily run a mile and a half! Unfortunately with the jogger I can't go quite as far. It must be the whole pushing 50 lbs in front of me bit. :-)
I also learned how to mow the lawn! I know this may not seem like a big deal to most of you, but I have NEVER mowed the lawn before. I think I tried to start the mower once in high school and couldn't even get it started... but with Nick's patient tutelage I have learned how to mow the lawn, hill and trees and all!
So, yes, life is good. I LOVE SPRING! Every night I tell Alec to dream about flying up in the sky with the airplanes and he says "airplanes! Weheee!" I love it. I wonder if that is why he loves to swing so much... because it almost feels like flying. Oh to fly up in the sky like the cardinals and blue birds we see... to defy gravity! The things I dream about sitting out on my back deck...

PS I've never mowed a lawn but I think it would be a blast. One of these days I'm going to have you teach me. Loving those cute babes!
