The Apple Orchard

Wednesday we loaded up the mini-van with friends and made our way to an Apple Orchard for playgroup! It was sooo fun! The kids had a blast swimming in corn, riding tractors, and visiting the barnyard animals. Of all the animals Alec was most excited about the ducks. We even sang the "Three Little Ducks" song together while we walked down the hill to see them. We bought some yummy Honeycrisp apples and I'm having to ration them with myself so I don't eat them all by myself in one day! It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for the first day of October. Alec feeling timid about joining the other kids in the corn pool...

YAY for trying to get more organized! Our games have been hidden all over the place, trying to keep them away from the babies. Now I have a home for them where I can see what we have and get what I want, but the babies can't reach them. I learned how to make these yummy cinnamon rolls today. I'll try to save some for you, Nick, to thank you for all your hard work on the shelf last night. :-)
