Wednesday we loaded up the mini-van with friends and made our way to an Apple Orchard for playgroup! It was
sooo fun! The kids had a blast swimming in corn, riding tractors, and visiting the barnyard animals. Of all the animals Alec was most excited about the ducks. We even sang the "Three Little Ducks" song together while we walked down the hill to see them. We bought some yummy
Honeycrisp apples and I'm having to ration them with myself so I don't eat them all by myself in one day! It was a beautiful fall day, perfect for the first day of October.
Alec feeling timid about joining the other kids in the corn pool...
Alec with Becca, my dear friend, trying to decide if he really wants to play with this stuff or not...
Alec (after about 20 minutes) finally deciding that maybe this corn stuff isn't so bad after all!
Alec wanting me to let go so he can play, Lyssa wanting me to let her eat the corn she keeps grabbing, me smiling and happy to be sitting in a corn pool! Remember the noodle pool in the movie, Patch Adams? The corn pool totally reminded me of that!
Alec totally wanted to take this home...On another happy note, Nick put this up for me last night!
YAY for trying to get more organized! Our games have been hidden all over the place, trying to keep them away from the babies. Now I have a home for them where I can see what we have and get what I want, but the babies can't reach them. I learned how to make these yummy cinnamon rolls today.

I'll try to save some for you, Nick, to thank you for all your hard work on the shelf last night. :-)

Your frosting totally turned out better than mine! I think that should be the photo of the week. The rolls look delish. I came home from our attempt at vt tonight and Ryan had eaten 3 (possibly 4) cinnamon rolls!
I love the pic with you and your kids in the corn pool. :)
Oh those cinnamon rolls look so good. I think I may need that recipe. Mine never turn out.
How dare you post a picture of those stunningly delicious looking cinnamon rolls and not give us the recipe...

MmMmmmm... being pregnant can be hard, because for once in my life it's "ok" to be fat... and pictures like that don't help, my dear. ( :
