~Another Alec Antidote~

It's Sunday at 12:20 pm. Babies are napping everywhere, and we only have 40 minutes to get three little ones up (Alec's Iowa cousin, Jakob, was hanging with us for the weekend), dressed in their sunday best, fed, Nick showered, ourselves dressed, and everyone out the door to church. We knew it would be cutting it close, but figured we could manage. Then we walked into Alec's room to find this...
You may ask "What is all over his body? Why is he so shiny?"

That, my friends, is a little boy in the buff slathered in an entire jar of vaseline. He took off all his clothes and emptied an entire jar (kept in the room for the occasional diaper rash) all over his body, floor, dresser, rug, bed, blanket, everything. When Nick walked in and found him it took everything in his power not to laugh. The little boy was rubbing his arms, legs, tummy, and face because he "liked how smooth his body felt." WHAT A MESS! He ended up taking a 10 minute shower/scrub down with soap, but I still found gobs of vaseline on him at church. No more vaseline in that little man's room. What a mischief maker!

Needless to say, we were late for church.
