What else was I doing last week instead of blogging?

I spent almost all of Friday in this chair...

Just picture three times as many receipts and you'll a clearer picture of my day.

It's amazing how messy things can get when you ignore your bank accounts and bills for a month, especially when starting a new semester of school and remodeling a kitchen. By the time Nick got home my brain was about to explode. Yet who am I really to blame but myself for putting off the inevitable and balancing the budget. Sometimes we can be so cruel to ourselves.

Those pretty flowers Nick brought home the day before were my saving grace.
