*Shortly after driving into the park, with wonder in his voice, Alec said "It's so peaceful here... and I don't know why." Lyssa responded "Yeah. I think we're going to see a polar bear... and the Holy Ghost."
*Finally having a tent that actually fit all five of us comfortably! Yippeeee!
*Roasting marshmallows and hotdogs while each of us snuggled down in our personal camp chairs.
*Not falling into the bottomless potty. The kids couldn't get over that stinky thing. :-)
*Sitting around the campfire listening to Alec tell spooky ghost stories in a spooky voice, while Lyssa told happy ghost stories in a high pitched squeaky voice.
*Watching the kids dance and chase around in the trees amongst the glow of a thousand fire flies.
*Packing up as fast as lightening when we heard loud booms and saw big thunderheads rolling in across the skies above us. Gotta love those Iowa thunderstorms!
I can't wait till we get to go again!
