Alec's Own Special Place

Last Wednesday I was out in the living room taking care of Elyssa and I noticed that where ever Alec had went off to, he was sure being quiet. Quiet sometimes means that he's exploring something new... or getting into something he knows he's not suposed to touch. Anyway, I looked all over and couldn't find him! I went into the nursery twice before I finally heard him. I found him sitting behind the rocking chair reading books to himself! It was so cute I had to take a picture. Since that day I've found him back there reading to himself a couple more times. I find it so interesting that he's found his own quiet little corner of the house to call his own and read his books.
Nick said he went in the other morning to get Alec up and found him reading "Hop On Pop" (his current favorite) in his crib. He had pulled the book through the bars into his crib! What a funny boy! I often find him reading books and he loves to point out letters where ever he sees them. We probably spend well over two hours a day reading stories. Grandma says he's going to be a "man of letters" and I would say, judging by the evidence so far, that I would have to agree.

I love the picture of Alec hiding behind the chair with a book. I still hide with my book sometimes!
