Up until I had Elyssa I used to spend a lot of time in the kitchen baking or cooking. Alec would spend lots of time with me exploring cupboards and playing with tupperware. He never really got into things he wasn't suposed to so it wasn't a problem. However, recently he's become more curious and we've had to put cupboard locks on everything. He's played drums on the pots before, but now that I've locked the cupboards I have to get them out for him. I like to get out pots and pans of different sizes and different spoons and whisks for Alec to experiment with. He's taken up a fond liking for playing the drums and loves to bang different things around and turn the pots over to hear how they make different noises depending on which side you hit. He's got a pretty good sense of rythm! We can only hope that all this experimentation now turns into a desire to play music in the future.
