An Ode, A Monkey, and Chocolate Cake

Ode to Lyssa's Little Sheep

Lyssa had a little Lamb, little Lamb, little Lamb!
Lyssa had a little Lamb whose fleece was white as snow (except when it was grey).

It followed her to bed one day, church one day, the mall one day!
It followed her almost everyday (which should have been against the rules).

It made dear Lyssa laugh and play, smile and play, cuddle and play!
It made dear Lyssa happy and play to have a lamb to cuddle.

The Lamby turned a nice yellow and grey, dirty all day, stinky from play!
The Lamby smell like crap all day from always being in Lyssa's mouth.

The Lamby then exploded one day after lots of play, all dirty and grey!
The Lamby then exploded one day and half the stuffing came out.

The Mommy said to put it out! Throw it out! "Eeww, stinky snout!"
The Mommy said to put it out. Good bye dear Lamby Sheep.
I found some really cute sheep at Bath and Body Works a while back that she will be getting for Christmas, but for now...
Welcome Mortimer the Monkey! Lyssa has been missing her dear Sheep for the past few weeks, but she took one look at Mortimer in Barnes and Noble, and fell in love. He's soft, like Sheep, and cuddles up on your neck like Sheep so maybe that is why she's found a new attachment. Either way, if it makes her happy that's all that matters to me.
On another note...I too have found a new love... a new chocolate cake love that is... HyVee grocery store makes the BEST Chocolate Tuxedo Cake ever. I've seriously contemplated getting a job at their bakery just so I can learn how they make this chocolate cake. A piece of this deliciousness is just as pricey as my favorite restaurant cakes, but it's DIVINE! Layers upon layers of chocolaty sugary creamy goodness with chocolate whipped cream and a beautiful fudge/white chocolate swirl to top it off. I could eat this stuff for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and dessert).

For all my faithful readers... tune in next time for "It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!"
