coming home to a spotlessly clean house, clean freshly made beds, and a warm home-cooked meal from good friends.
Though we are sad to say goodbye to vacation time and our wonderful spoil us rotten families, we are happy to be home. Alec walked into his room and immediately found his "kachow" blanket (covered in Lightening McQueen cars) and he wanted to be wrapped up in it for the rest of the evening while the heat went back up in the house. Lyssa quickly found her favorite bath-time turtles and gave them lots of wet kisses. We gave both babies nice warm baths. Then we set out to Tiffany and Greg's for a much appreciated delicious dinner. What a wonderful way to come home, eh?
We feel so lucky to have been able to visit with our friends and family of far and away. We feel as though we were spoiled with so many thoughtful gifts and memorable adventures. I just couldn't keep up with the telling of them... so for the next few weeks I will be interspersing them with the latest happenings on the blog. So bear with me or don't read them at all! This blog is more of a family journal than anything else anyway. :-)
On a memorable note, all flights were on time yesterday, the weather cooperated nicely for all travel plans, and the babies survived, despite the ear infections. We're off to the doctor again today (possibly to have the tubs discussion... yuck). Oh! And another memorable thing to write before I forget! Lyssa cut her first baby tooth on Christmas Eve and is about to cut her second any day now. She's growing so fast... Amazing. Oh, and Alec turned 2 years old last Saturday, but I'm sure to blog more about that soon.
So yes, tune in next time (or don't) to hear more about our adventures!

And Lyssa is respectable enough to get the right teeth in first, unlike her big brother...
We took down all our Christmas decs & lights today while I had Michael's help. Sad, but good to get it done!
Happy New Year!
Yay,thanks for the shout out! It was so fun to have you over, and home safe and sound.
Welcome home!! Can't wait to catch up with you. How sweet are Tiffany and Greg- I love that!
It just feels right knowing you are back! I was hoping it would be sooner than later. Glad you made it safe and sound. Poor Lyssa and her ears. I would 100% have the tubes talk.
