One of the many reasons....
Nick takes time out of work every 6 weeks to give blood even though he barely meets the weight requirements (though I doubt he would admit it) and almost always passes out or gets sick afterwards. Why does he do this to himself I ask?
"Because I think there really is a need and I want to help."
Of my blood I am not nearly as giving, though I like to claim I can't donate because I don't qualify (due to living in Europe in the late 80's early 90's possibly eating the mad cow diseased British beef).
We all get a kick out of how interested and concerned Alec is about "Daddy's hurt arm" until Nick takes the bandage off and puts it on Alec's head making him Ninja Warrior for the rest of the night. Funny times, funny times.
Anyway, that is just one example of the many reasons why I love Nick.

He is a better man than me. I only gave blood once, ended up being one of the ones laying down in the back with my feet up scarfing down more cookies and juice. I was completely wiped out the rest of the day. I've never gone back since. But I think I probably wouldn't meet the weight requirement now anyway, or at least that's what I tell myself to feel better about abstaining!
Chrissy, THANK Nick for me. Blood donation is a VERY personal thing to me, because of my delightful past experiences. Giving blood saves lives, it really really does. GO NICK!
