Day 2 at Zion National Park started after a short night sleep here...
(we had plenty of space... in fact the babies and I had our own little room in the hotel suite, but both babies ended up in my bed meaning, I half slept while holding on to their ankles so they wouldn't fall off)
And these two early birds were up and ready planning our day...
The fabulous Carly was excited to get in more hiking and climbing...

Before we heading back into the park Grandpa Steve had to give us all a geology lesson... got to put the bachelors degree to good use!
This little man was excited and ready to go! He didn't mind riding in the baby backpack at all!
Grandpa Steve opted for the lighter baby this hike, as Mike volunteered to carry Alec and I was the designated camera carrier/photographer. check out those awesome bright blue socks!

As we headed up to Hidden Canyon, the views down below and up above were majestic.
Even with Alec strapped to his back, Mike was way ahead of us all.

This crazy snow field that high up in the mountains held me back. Though Mike had no qualms about crossing it with Alec, my dad and I decided to stay back with little Lyssa.
Mike the man didn't even break a sweat. Alec just kept yelling "I'm so high!" and "I'm so much higher, Mommy!"

Thankfully in some of the steeper spots there were chains to help you along to the Hidden Canyon.

Then we were off to the River walk. Alec had fun climbing the big rocks and boulders with Carly and Mike...

In fact, afterwards he felt like quite the strong man. This is Alec saying "I'm Super Man!"
The little waterfalls were beautiful...
but all the beauty and all the fun wore the little man out and he was totally zonked.

Then again, who wouldn't like to take a nap with this the sound of this soothing you to sleep.
Dead weight is a lot to carry, so Grandpa Steve took a turn. Alec slept through it all...
but I had my eyes wide open, taking in the sights, the smells, the sounds, the breezes...
and I loved it. Almost every single minute of it.
When your soul is in need or nourishing, these mountains can provide...
Thanks Mom, Dad, Mike, Alan, Carly, and Cory for all your help making my trip to the mountains. I needed it.

Wish I could have been there!
I love your chronicles. After reading your blog, it's much easier to remember that I was there and had fun.
