We went in for my first ultrasound this morning. I was holding my breath the entire time, waiting to see or hear a little heart beat... but within seconds I was pretty sure this baby was okay. It was moving and grooving all over the place right before our very eyes. The ultrasound tech even laugh, calling this one an active baby. We all awed as we saw a hand go up and a thumb pop right in this babies mouth... and as the tech counted all 5 fingers I even teared up. A real baby! I'm not just growing out of my clothes, feeling exhausted and occasionally throwing up for nothing. I'm doing it because there is a real live baby growing inside me!!!
After doing a few measurements the tech said "I think you're a little further along than you thought." I have no problem with that!!! September 11th sounds even better than September 18th, and with my history of early babies, we fully expect to meet this little one sometime around the beginning of September. Oh to have a non-winter baby! So excited!
So yes, we're expecting Parkinson Baby #3, September 11th.
Lyssa and Alec are already warming up to the idea.
Life is good.

I've never seen a baby in the womb suck his/her thumb. Crazy.

oh my gosh! congrats! i had a feeling something like this was going on. it seems like everyone i know is having a baby. i just thought the other day, "now chrissy just has to be pregnant".
did you know when you came to my house? because I SOOOO wanted to ask you...when we were talking about Alec and Lyssa not being babies anymore, and how they could play together, and how you could have more free time (when they were playing nicely, that is)
and you said something like, "yeah, it has been nice in some ways to have them bigger. it'll be nice, until.. well...yeah"
but I didn't dare ask, just in case. and then I just figured you were talking about until they started doing mischievous things.

I KNEW IT! You were dropping hints like something very exciting was going on :) Congrats!! September is a great time to have a baby...still warm but not too hot. Keep us posted ;)
YAH! we are so very excited for you!!!....could you use a meal or two??? I would be happy to bring you a dinner, I sure know I would have loved a dozen during my first trimester, heck during my whole pregnancy, it is so exhausting! let me know!!!!....congratulations again, being preggo during the summer isnt bad at all I promise, invest in a good pair of flip-flops though, because your feet will swell like nobodies business, but having a non-winter baby is so awesome, I cant even explain it!!! Coby and Chase were March and Feb. and sweet Caitlyn was July 31st so yah it was awesome!

Congratulations...and forgive me if I am not surprised even though I have not chatted with you recently. You/Ellie were my guess for Esplin Family newbies for the coming year (don't lie we all engage in this guessing game). I can however tell you that I am jealous. I am not sure what happened to me. Once upon a time I was happy to be unencumbered with children, not sure when/if we would be fitting this into my life. I never thought I would spend my life baby hungry...maybe it is the fact that I will one day, sooner than later have to stop having babies. #3 (#2 if you talk with Aaron) may be our last and I really don't respond well to someone/anyone telling me "NO." At any rate I am SO excited for you (and your famiy) and happy that you will be having a fall baby instead of a winter baby for your sake. I love new babies!
