With Easter falling on Conference Weekend, we dressed our kids up in their Easter finery a week early on Palm Sunday.
I couldn't resist taking them outside after church for a little photo shoot. Too bad the lighting of the noon day sun with mixed cloud cover was not working in my favor half the time. Still I have a few fun shots to share.
Lyssa was thrilled to wear her "princess cinderella dress" and white poka dot tights. She was so patient when I did her hair that morning too, sitting through three french braids (four if you count my "do over"... I'm not very good at this hair stuff).
Alec was stoked about his blue shirt "like daddys", blue car tie, and awesome vest. Honestly, I was really surprised that he still had his tie on by the time we got home from church. The boy and I have battled over clothes frequently in the winter months (he hates all long sleeves and most pants), but for some reason he doesn't fight Sunday attire. With 9 o'clock church, I count it as a blessing.
Superman swinging in her princess dress. She loved that her skirt looked so poofy.
Chasing each other around the massive tree in our backyard.
You know, there was a time I wondered if I would ever say this, but I absolutely LOVE having almost twins. I love that they are so close in age. I love that they entertain each other all day long. I love that they teach each other new things, and don't mind color coordinating outfits (yet anyway). I loved them as little babies, but I am really enjoying watching them grow up and become such fun, interesting, creative little people.
Life is good.
Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter gift to find these on your blog! I LOVE the picture of Alec in his Sunday duds--and the one where they're chasing each other around the tree. It's a great tree:-)
Your almost twins are totally adorable. I miss them...
