On the first of January Cordelia officially turned 4 months old. Unfortunately I was unable to do our monthly photo shoot because we were on vacation! That's okay. We'll just use some vacation photos.
This is the month that Cordy really woke up. She's still our easy going little lady, but she surely spends more time awake than asleep during the day, watching my every move intently. I love this little ladies eyes. This is also the month where Cordy discovered her toes! Whenever her legs are bare she instantly grabs her toes. They're the best toy around.
I feel like Miss Cordy is my little buddy. She goes where I go, she smiles at me when I need a smile, she snuggles in close when I need a good love, she even rolls over for me when I get stressed about harassment from the doctor. I'm not kidding! I was lamenting to Nick the night before her four month check up that the doctor would give me a hard time because she wasn't rolling over yet. Within 30 seconds of my comment she rolled over. Then she did it 10 more times, all the while being cheered on by her excited parents and loving older siblings. She's just cool like that.
Speaking of the doctor, Cordy weighed in at 14 lbs. 3.5 oz. (38%) and was 24 1/4 inches long (23%) with a head circ. of 16 (20%). Suprisingly because Cordy's percentiles went down from the last three weigh-ins I got harrassed that she isn't gaining enough weight and I shouldn't let her sleep so much at night. I say Bahhh. Whatever. I think she's happy, healthy, and cute as can be. No worries here.
I can't help fall in love with this little lady a little more each day. I frequently sing to my sweet baby and one of our favorites is called "Just The Way You Are". The chorus is so fitting for little Cordy.

Wow, how four months (and four years relating to a couple of previous posts) flys by! She is adorable...I know what you mean by finding a little buddy in her. Though my relationship changes frequently with my children (at time I feel closer to one or th other) Poppy is still and will always be my little healer. She just has that power. Oh, and how can I not mention Costa Rica...HOW FUN!!!! I am totally jealous, but I know I get to travel a lot, so I will get over being jealous and just be happy that others get to explore the world as well.
Love the one of her playing with her toes. I see a lot of Alec for some reason in that one! She is just the cutest little chunk of baby. Dear Cordy, I need to come squeeze you!
