No we did not kick Alec out of the house. He in fact got a boot and he's not happy about it.
As any young mother knows, little kids that are learning to climb and walk fall down... a lot. I'm not for sure when Alec fell and hurt himself, but Friday morning he wouldn't stand on his right leg without screaming and crying. I took him to the doctor, they did x-rays and said they didn't see anything, but to bring him back on Monday if he wasn't walking without pain. We stuck around the house all day Friday and Saturday and tried to convince Alec that it really was okay to crawl again despite the fact that he knows how to walk. Sunday he was doing better, but still doesn't want to put much weight on his right leg and cries to be carried after a few steps. We took him back in and we were sent to an orthopedic pediatric specialist. After more x-rays we were informed that Alec has a slight fracture above his ankle on his right leg, a "toddler's fracture" as the doctor called it. He said it's nothing to be too incredibly worried about, but said Alec has to wear a boot for the next month until we go back to see him.
Good thing it's getting warm because that beastly thing would never fit under his pants! He already hates it and refuses to even try walking with it on. He can crawl with it, but he pretty much just drags his leg on the floor. It may be a pretty wild month! Poor boy!

While I'm so sad about the fracture, I sure am glad they figured out what was wrong! Alec is a trooper and I'm sure he'll end up loving the boot :)
Poor little guy! It looks like he's being such a trooper. Hopefully the month will go by fast.
Jacob and I both agree, how sad he has a fracture, but that has got to be the cutest little boot we have ever seen. I'm so glad they were able to figure out what was wrong.
Sad!! Oh he looks so cute with is though!
Poor kid! I hope this month goes by really fast. But he does look pretty cute with his boot!
