Alec is 18 Months Old!

My dear little Alec turned 18 months old last week! Woohoo! He was able to officially attend nursery at church all by himself. I heard he handled it pretty well for the most part. This bloggity blog post will be all about my ever learning and growing big boy!

Alec's likes:

• Toy cars, trucks, and balls
• The Pixar movie "Cars"
• Cars, trucks, lawn mowers, airplanes, helicopters... anything with a motor
• All Books, but current favs are "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" and "Whose Mouse are You?"
• Talking...
• Playing Broken Record a.k.a. "repeating the same word over and over again"
  Cooking with Mommy (not play cooking, but the real deal!)
• Swimming
• Eating cookies and cake... serious tell him it's cake and he will try it!
• Singing... current favs "5 Little Monkeys" and "If You're Happy and You Know It"
• Playing the piano
• Tickle wars with Daddy
• Swinging
• Bubbles
• Drawing with crayons or chalk
• Going for walks where he actually gets to walk
• Playgrounds
• Tigger and his "par" (a.k.a. the pacifier)
• Brushing his teeth (seriously we have to give a two minute warning!)
• Dancing
• His baby sister, Lyssa. :-)

Dislikes:

• Bread of any kind... unless it tastes like cake
• Most TV or movies
• Most convenience foods (no fast food for this little boy)
• Being told "No"
• Being forced to do ANYTHING
• Big crowds of loud people
• Taking two naps a day
• Riding in the stroller

I guess it's a good thing that I can think of way more things that Alec likes than dislikes! He's such a sweet boy. I know he's not a genius... in fact he's probably just like any other typical kid his age, but as his mommy I can't help but find everything he does fascinating. He's growing and changing so fast! I swear he picks up 10 more words almost every day. Not all of them would be understood by strangers, but he's only getting better every day. I decided to take a walk down memory lane and just look at how much my little Prince has grown.
