We were hoping and praying that little Lyssa would not follow suit with her brother, but sure enough three days later she woke up with a slight fever, acting sad and lethargic. Poor thing. She spent a lot of her day drooling and doing this...

...and we didn't really get moving around here until almost 10 am! On a happier note, I went to Target and found these funny monster hand puppets in the dollar section! I thought they were great, and hope to be able to hold out giving them to the kids until Christmas.

I was also finally able to complete the fabulous four today!

We've had Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore since before Alec was born, but we could never find a Piglet. Alec grew attached to Tigger from a very early age so I figured when Lyssa came along I would let Alec keep Tigger and Eeyore and Lyssa could have Pooh Bear and Piglet (if I could ever find one). We'll today Piglet was hanging there at the end of the baby isle in all his glory and I was ecstatic! I snatched him up quick. Don't worry Piglet. She only swings you around like that because she loves you. Welcome to your new home!

I really wanted to go to an Apple Orchard today to pick apples... they are a staple in my diet year round, but in the Fall I simply CRAVE all things apples. With a sick-o kid and Nick studying for the G-MAT (Pray for him... he takes it Monday) I decided to forgo the Apple Orchard. Then I got a call from some family friends inviting us to come pick apples from their overflowing trees in their backyard!

Aren't they beautiful?! I'M IN HEAVEN! So, yes, this was my day. Can you tell Nick must have been home to help out a bit? Still, not bad for a Moma with two under two (one of which was sick)!
So how was your weekend? Have any good apple recipes for me?

How on earth did I miss those cute puppets in the dollar bin? Oh how I LOVE the dollar bin at Target! I can get a little carried away (it's only a dollar right)! I am totally on a mission to get to an apple orchard. I love doing homemade applesauce and dried apples! Hope Lyssa starts to feel better. Yay for Piglet!
How productive!! We will be praying for Nick. Good luck guys.
I can't wait to see what you are going to do with all those apples. We are picking this Saturday... so send me your great ideas!
Hope the kiddos feel better!
