When Nick and I were dating every once and a while we would have a Bakery Day on Sunday, where we would spend the entire day baking cookies and bringing them around to people in our singles ward. Well, we are carrying on the tradition with our little family. Last week we had a snow day. What better to do on a snow day than bake
Christmas cookies! We make reeses cake cookies, peanut butter blossoms, and sugar cookies all with the kiddos help. They loved every minute of it, and I loved having three helpers in the kitchen. We made a great team, scooping and pouring. Lyssa helped me roll all the dough balls and Alec rolled them in sugar perfectly!
They were also amazing helpers unwrapping the hershey kisses (no surprise there) , and using the cookie cutters.
Best way to clean the excess peanut butter off the spoon...

Decorating sugar cookies in the evening. I only had Easter color sprinkles, but the cookies were still lots of fun to decorate...

and turned out very "pri-tty!"

They tasted yummy too...

And before we knew it most of them had disappeared!

Can you blame them though? Christmas is the only time I make sugar cookies. :-)

Happy holiday cookie making to you and yours this holiday season!

I can't even imagine the kind of co-operation required to have 3 helpers in the kitchen!
