Others may be saying "Going private? Yuck! That means I can't just read your blog on googlereader!"
Call me paranoid. Call me lazy. Call me whatever you want. My three kiddos are just too cute for their own good... and honestly what is the purpose of this blog but to show off our little ones to our close friends and family? Maybe I'll lose a few readers, but I have the feeling that the 3 people that regularly read and comment on my blog will not be offended by having to sign in first. :-)
