At two weeks is was quite obvious that Cordelia had grown, though I was still excited to go the doctor and see just how much. At the same time I was dreading having to watch her get poked.
I smiled with delight to learn my little lady was weighing in at 7 lbs. 13 oz. (61%) and had grown an inch since birth, measuring at 20 inches (72%).
Way to grow baby girl!
Though I think she looks more like Alec than Elyssa, her head size and shape are following her sister's smaller noggin size, measuring at 13 1/4 inches (25%). And though she seems to still be quite sleepy at this stage we're catching her with her eyes open for a few minutes here and there.
I was thrilled when I found out that immunizations don't actually start until 2 months! Yea! No pokes!
Then I was sad to hear that we would have to have her billirubin checked, meaning they would be poking her little foot once again to squeeze way too much blood from her little foot. It was particularly sad because it seemed to take forever to get enough blood and she screamed death the entire time.
I brought the little lady home for some loving all around. Dear Alec and Elyssa were down right distraught at the sight of her band-aid, and made an effort to show a little extra love for their baby sister.
Moments like that melt my heart.
I sure love those three little ones.

She is wonderful, beautiful adorable and growing so so much. As always when reading your posts, I feel like I am looking at this fall's selection from the Baby Gap. I am not going to change, my history proves this, and obviously I don't care too much. That being said, I do notice when others make sure to have thier kiddos looking "put together."
