~Utah Vacation 2011: Raspberry Picking~

Grandma Shannon has two gardens.  One at her house and one at Grandma Marion's house up the street and around the corner (the little house where we lived when we were first married).  Both gardens are lovely, but Grandma Shannon has made the garden at the little house quite tasty!  She has all sorts of yummy things growing there and we just happened to be lucky enough to be around for the raspberry picking!  The kids were thrilled.
The kids got started right away and it was hard not to pick everything in sight, even if it wasn't perfectly red and juicy yet.  Even more difficult was trying to restrain ourselves from popping them right into our mouths.  In fact, I'm pretty sure we didn't make it back to the house with more than a small handful.  Grandma didn't mind.  She's cool like that.
The kids came home to find Mike awake (wow!) and moving and willing to play in the backyard.  They had the best time swinging and laughing and chatting with one of their favorite guys.  I always love watching my kids interact with my brothers.  They have such a great time.
Just a snippet from another fantastic vacation day. :-)

The way those yummy things fall apart it's better to just eat them off the vine anyway. :-)
