This year Alec and Elyssa decided they would like to be pirates for Halloween. Not just any pirates, but Captain Jack and the great pirate, Angelica from the Pirates of the Caribbean. No, they have never seen any of the movies, but they are obsessed! Grandma Shannon found these awesome pirate costumes for them months ago and they've been wearing them on an almost daily basis ever since. I'm all about sticking to a family theme as long as the kids will let me so we became a pirate crew!

It's true. Cordelia really is all our little treasure. About 90% of the time she is adored by everyone around here.

Between a friends costume party, church trunk or treat, preschool trunk or treat, preschool costume parties, and actual trick or treating, we got to dress up lots and lots this month. Somehow we were always running late and I never had time to set up a picture of myself with the crew, so this one from a friend at the church event will have to do.
I love that our kids still think we're cool for dressing up and are still willing to let us play along with them, though I know any year it could end. I'm just going to enjoy it while I can. :-)
