Based off my recent blogposts and facebook updates you may think we spend all day every day at the splash pool. That is not entirely correct. Last week we did in fact spend one day at home so I could do some laundry. What did we do between moving load after load through our 1970's high capacity washer and dryer (imagine the smallest washer you've ever seen...)? We built a fort! Well, according to Alec we built "A CASTLE!"
This was the happening place to read books and eat snacks all morning long!
Seriously, hours of entertainment for the little ones (though the sheet didn't last quite the long). I was kind of jealous that I couldn't fit inside too.
I love that I get to watch and help them figure out how to build their castle. I love that they're old enough to enjoy things like castle building and looking at books together for hours.
Ahh, the magic of childhood.

Just look at your front room! I'm so glad my grandkids are already building castles and forts. Just think of what the future holds!
