Recently Lyssa had the undivided attention of her daddy while taking a trip to Idaho. She had almost constant face time and she drank it all up. Before she left she had 4 or 5 words down, one of which she invented: beebaah (Lyssa language for ball). She came home a new little girl, telling me what a horse, a cow, and a cat says. I was impressed!
Here is an incomplete list of the little lady's words:

Baah (sheep)
Mooo (cow)
Neigh (horse)
Woof (dog)
Meow (cat)
duk duk (duck)
twee twee (bird)
oohoohahah (monkey)
Daddy
Mommy
Alec
Lyssa
cow
ball
duce (juice... which apparently also means milk sometimes...)
milt (milk)
bike
book
cheese
moe (more)
Sally (as in Ms. Sally from Cars)
Natalie
Isaac
Maddie
Mike
figgy (fishy)
teeth
hi
hey
no
yeah (surprisingly I hear this one a lot)
bye bye
appy (happy)
babble (bubbles)
bebe (baby)
go
weing (swing)
Lello (yellow)
Peeyou! (as in stinky!)
Dat? (that?)
Aigait! (I got it)
Oh no! (in the most serious of tones over and over again... She skinned her knee a few weeks ago, but seemed to forget about it every day... kind of like Dori on Finding Nemo. Every time she would rediscover the wound she would sing this over and over in a very dramatic voice for 5 minutes...)
The list could probably go on, as she seems to be picking up new words every day. Alec was a big talker early on but I just figured Lyssa would take her own time figuring it out, especially with an older brother always willing and ready to talk for her.
Turns out I have two talkers! I love it.
Poor Nick... before long he'll have three people all begging for his ears undivided attention. :-)
P.S. A sample video is on it's way for grandparents, aunties, uncles, and the like! Nick just needs some editing time. I don't do videos...

Woo Hoo Lyssa!
Way to go little one!
Beebaah is so much cooler than ball. It's got rhythm!
Way to go Lyssa Lou! Would you mind giving Benton some tutoring? I can't get over how cute that first photo of her is. What a heart breaker she will be, that is if Alec lets any guy get near her.
I can't wait to see her talk this summer!
I love how much she's blossomed in the last couple of months---so much personality!
And so glad "Maddie" made the list!
that is so cute! I love it when they talk and communicate more
all 3 of mine talked early so you never know
