It all started with a chair...
A goodwill chair at that! Then came a dream, and motivation to take pictures... and my inability to find a local non-studio photographer. Add in a husband willing to make it happen, kids in a good mood, a tri-pod, and a few last minutes of daylight on a overcast Sunday evening and this is what I captured with my camera...
Last but not least the family photo. I only took 5 because the kids were all getting pretty squirmy. Considering I took it myself I think it turned out pretty well!
Apparently the lady at the Sam's Club photo counter did too because she called to make sure I was following the copyright laws and had the rights to print off the pictures. At first I was so confused and then realized she actually thought they were good enough to need a copyright. I told her they were my photos and I took them with my tri-pod. She still made me sign paperwork when I got there. Thanks, Sam's Club lady for giving me an ego boost. :-)

Thank you for posting these! I've been dying to see them. My mom loves them and thinks it's so cool that you do this kind of thing. It's amazing that you got such a good family picture when you only took 5!
so cute! (but i'm a sucker for a good green) my boyfriends mom is a photographer and she's coming to omaha next week. (donnaboucher.com) i can imagine it's stressful to try to be the photographer and the model but fantastic outcome! good on you!
Love them all! The one of baby Cordy peeking up over the chair is my absolute favorite!
Miss you!
I saw these on facebook, but I didn't realize you took them yourself. Can I just say that they (and you) are amazing!?! You have a beautiful family! And I just love Alec's faces that he pulls. What a character!
Will you come take some pictures for us?!?!
These are darling, Chrissy. I love the family shot!
Chances are we won't have a family picture that cute for a long time!
Very, very impressive!
Nice work! I was going to ask you who took your pics when I saw them on FB. They turned out so cute!
I agree with the lady at Sam's Club! Nice work!
Chrissy, that's awesome! You did such a great job and I'm not surprised the lady at Sam's Club thought they were professional.
Cordy's eyes are SO blue! Do you think they will stay like that or change? They are beautiful. I can't say I've ever seen that color before. She's a pretty little baby.
