The longest day of my week. Alec doesn't have preschool and Nick has class in the evening, meaning (unless I plan playdates for my kids) it's The Mommy Show all day long. Yesterday was a Tuesday. So what did we do?
Well, Cordy mostly slept or just wanted to be held because she's got a nasty snoggy nose at the moment.
Luckily for us Cordy is a pretty easy going baby and we were able to fit in a little photo shoot on the couch.
Alec enjoyed a morning of pure laziness, not getting dressed until almost 11AM, and a day of playing with Lyssa, making all of us laugh with his silly faces, sprinkled with fun little structured activities throughout the day with Moma.
The look in his eye when you hand him scissors and a stack of scrap paper is awesome!
Lyssa spent the bulk of her day playing with Alec, with the occasional bathroom break or Potty Party!
Yes, the little lady is potty training, and though we've had a couple accidents, she's on the right track. I'm still not ready to leave the house for long periods of time with her, but I can already tell this is going to be waaaaay easier this time around.

She's so proud of herself when she goes in the toilet. I'm so proud of her too.
We played all day, took naps, tried to make Cordy laugh, blew bubbles, played in the tub until toes and fingers were pruney, made paper projects, and took a nice walk around the block before snuggling down for a quick show and popcorn on Mommy's bed (our special Daddy is gone for the evening ritual) before prayer, scriptures, stories, and a songs. The I tuck them into bed and start cleaning up the days messes. Sigh.
It's a long day for this young mommy of three, and I'm still tired... but that may have more to do with the fact that mastitis appears to be rearing it's ugly head again and between the aches, nightmares, and Cordy's snoggy nose I didn't sleep so well last night.
Lets hope today I get a nap.

You should post some "Tuesday" ideas for us stay at home moms that are simply out of new activities and tricks. I'd love it!
Cute kids!
You're doing baby braids with Lyssa now! So cute. I love them.
I want to hold that baby again!
I heard from our stake nursery leader that kids love snipping straws with scissors (have to be Fiskars) because it makes the pieces fly all over. Then you can string them next Tuesday:-)
Cutting straws with scissors, that's genius! We're so doing that Tuesday (also our long day, though not as long as Chrissy's).
I love the picture of Lyssa; I didn't know it was possible to have a tasteful potty picture, but there you go.
Have fun with the straws tomorrow, Tiffany. Chrissy, I LOVE the new family picture!
Chrissy, I hope this isn't unwanted advice, but I thought I'd throw this out there... If Cordy is sleeping through the night now, even once-in-awhile, a way to help prevent mastitis is to pump once for a short period of time in the middle of the night just to keep things moving. I know it negates the benefit of "sleeping through the night uninterrupted" but if you are already up to the potty or for some other reason and you have a pump handy, a quick 5 minutes might save you some pain/discomfort and possible a round of antibiotics... Just trying to help if I can, but don't want to tell you what to do. Totally just a suggestion. :)
Your kiddos are too cute.
