~Cordelia at 1 Month~

My sweet sleepy little Cordelia is over four weeks old now.  I am amazed how fast time is moving.  I'm trying to savor every last second of Cordelia being my tiny tiny baby, but it seems to only speed up her growth!  Maybe it's because I'm a lot more relaxed this time around and not so desperate for my baby to grow up.   It's a whole new experience having a newborn with toddlers versus having a newborn with another baby.  On a different note, do you remember this outfit?
If you're my sister you would because she gave it to Elyssa when she was born!  It was featured on my blog frequently for the first 2 1/2 months of Elyssa's life (as shown below), and last Saturday it was cold enough that Cordelia got to try it on for size.  They are both almost exactly a month old here.  I think they each have their own unique look. Elyssa was definitely smaller than Cordy at this age, but she was much more alert.  Dear little Cordy could sleep all day and night if we let her (with the exception of the hours between 7 and 11pm and by that time it's dark around here and I can't get good pictures, hence the lack of open eyed photos).
When I was taking the above photo of Cordy these two (below) started dancing around wanting me to take their picture too.  They climbed up on the chair and posed all by themselves.  I totally cracked up. This is so true to their personalities right now.  Alec is so sweet and loving to all of us these days. You look in his eyes and you can tell he's grown up a lot this last year.  Elyssa is a charming spunky ball of fire.  She'll pose, batting those long lashes and flashing a gorgeous toothy grin, but know you blink and it can all change in an instant.  Things get kind of crazy at times, but ask her to be your helper, and you can usually reign the fire in.
I can already tell all three are truly unique, their own little person with their own great big spirit.  I love watching my munchkins grow, developing their own personalities.  And as much as I am trying to savor every last second of Cordelia being a tiny sleepy baby, I think watching your children grow and develop is one of the most rewarding things a mother can experience.
How I love being their mommy.

I was just thinking that Baby Dynamite has yet to show us her dynamite personality. I guess dynamite can be quite calm too, until you light it.

I remember when Lyssa was a quiet, sleepy baby with a tiny voice. I love that they are already themselves before they get here.
