~Snack Time~

Tuesday morning was a doozy.  I climbed out of bed with a heavy head (due to a head cold and mastitis discomfort, thankfully not a restless baby) and I had NO voice.  The kids thought that was AWESOME and totally took advantage of the situation.  They were like Thing 1 and Thing 2 from Alec's latest favorite book, 'The Cat and The Hat' going from one room to the next making collasal messes (like crushing an entire bag of corn chips into the freshly cleaned carpet all over the basement), interspersed with timeouts.  Sigh.  Eventually all that mess making left them starving so we had snacktime.  While loading the dishwasher I heard arguing and shouts of complaint from both children.  I asked "Why are you two sitting so close together when you have an entire table to yourselves?"
Alec replied "Because we love each other, Mom!"
They then gave each other big bear hugs and giggling went back to devouring their peaches and goldfish.  I smiled and went to change a stinky diaper on my uncomfortable little baby girl.
Then not TWO MINUTES LATER I came back in the kitchen to find a floor covered in crushed up goldfish.  Apparently they weren't really all that hungry.  We spent the rest of the morning at the park with friends, and though I was almost hit by a mindless driver on the way there I felt much better by the time we got home.  I love that they love each other and have so much fun together... I just wish they didn't make such big messes!  Oh well.
At least they LOVE EACH OTHER, right?

Smart thinking! When they get wild, change their surroundings! Not even Thing 1 and Thing 2 can mess up a Park! Wait 'til little Cordy gets big enough to join in the fun!

Cute! I was telling my sister the other day about the trip you guys took to Logan temple, and how Lyssa could fit through the bars, but not Alec. We laughed really hard.
