~Cordelia at 7 Months~

Today my sweet little lady is 7 months old.  This last month has sure been an exciting one full of changes and new tricks for Miss Cordy.
After months of rolling from tummy to back, Cordy finally decided that her stomach wasn't so bad and started rolling from her back to her tummy!  We've giggled as we have watched her roll across the floor, getting herself stuck under the couch or the piano.  She's a baby on the move!
Perhaps one of the most exciting tricks came over the last few days.  Cordy can now sit up all by her lonesome.  This makes playtime much more fun, though she's still a little wobbly.  She's getting pretty good at catching herself from the front, but once she starts toppling backwards she's down for the count and mad as can be.
Cordy also started successfully eating solid foods.  So far she is eating green beans, peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, cheerios, rice puffs and wheat bread.  Oh boy, does that little girl love bread!  She's sure enjoying sitting up in the booster chair at the table during meals.
I took Cordy in for her 6 month check up last week.  As mentioned before, we're a little off schedule on our shots.  Though she was sick much of February, she is still growing.  She weighed in at 16 lbs 5 oz (38%), height 25.5 inches (21%), and head 16.5 inches (20%)

Dearest Cordelia,
It's been so much fun watching you grow and learn this last month!  You're eating real food.  You're sleeping all night long in your crib.  You're regularly napping.  You laugh and smile and coo at us all the time.  Everyone that meets you comments on what a happy content baby you are, and I would have to agree with them.  In a lot of ways you are my chill little lady.

That being said, in the last few weeks you have found your voice.  Just last week as I was driving around town I kept scolding your big sister for squealing at the top of her lungs in the car.  Then I turned around and realized it was you, having the time of your life listening to the sound of your own voice!  I have heard you squeal for joy many many times since then.

It's so fun to see you sitting up, looking around, rolling all over the floor in your efforts to discover and explore your world.  I know before long you will be crawling all over the place, and while I'm excited for you to keep learning and growing I hope you will still take the time to cuddle with me every now and then.  I sure enjoy our snuggles now and can't imagine life without them!

You bring so much joy to our family.  We all love you soooo much.  I'm so glad you came to our family.  I'll love you forever, little one.

Love always,
Your Mommy
