~Her Mother's Daughter~

I've been looking forward to the release of Mockingjay, the final book in The Hunger Games Series for a looooong time.
I reread the first two books over the last couple months.  They were a wonderful distraction from the uncomfortable symptoms of the third trimester of pregnancy.  Last Tuesday the day finally came and the third book was released!  Once I had it in my possession it took less than 24 hours  for me to finish it and I enjoyed almost every minute of it.  I think the kids noticed because the next morning I found Lyssa doing this...
When I asked her what she was doing she said in all seriousness "I'm reading my Mockingjay book, Mom!" Then she settled back into her chair in her comfy jammies and wanted to be left alone.  She is her mother's daughter!  Alec and Lyssa also have their own pretend copy of The Hunger Games and Catching Fire in their special collection of books that they were reading as they lazily laid around the living room that morning.  Gotta love lazy end of summer mornings, eating blueberries, reading books, wearing your Jammies.
I love that my kids know what books I'm reading.
I love that they pretend to be reading the same books I do, but mostly I just love that
THEY LOVE BOOKS!
