~25 is just about perfect~

Yesterday I turned 25, and can I just say Life is good.  In the quiet naptime moments of my busy celebratory day I washed dishes, folded laundry, and took inventory of my life.  I feel good.  I feel happy.
Right now I have a beautiful young little family.  I have two kiddos that for the most part love each other and are good to one another.  Really when it comes down to it they are just good kids.  Sometimes  I grip and get frustrated, but I love that I have two babies and I love being their young Mommy.
I have a husband who loves me and loves our babies... but still loves me most, which is how it should be.  No, I don't have the perfect marriage, but things are the best they've ever been right now thanks to hard work on both our parts.  We've worked together, cried together, and done our best to love each other. Despite the fact that our daily lives take us to very different places we still end the day together and are still best friends.  I love that.

I may be far away from family, but they still keep in contact, still write, still call, still visit, and still help and care as much as they can from far away.  I have friends here in Iowa that are as close to family as they come.  I have people in my life I can depend on, and friends that love my babies (and really that means more than they know).

We may not be comfy rich, but we have enough to meet the needs of our little family.  We live in a comfortable home that after a little work here and a little paint there has come together to be our safe haven.  It's nice.

To a young child 25 seems grown-up, far away and old.  To older people 25 may seem young and foolish, but to me 25 is just about perfect.  It's exactly where I want to be.  Twenty Five is young enough that I feel like I can do anything, and old enough that I am aloud to take the time to try.
Really, right now life is good

Oh Chrissy, how I love thee. What a sweet post! It was so fun to share a birthday cupcake with you, and some birthday park time, and some birthday chat time. I think the pictures turned out wonderful. Way to go, Liz!

Happy birthday again, a day later. Hopefully 25 and 1 day is still just as good as yesterday.
