~The Cave~

I love my babies being close in age right now.  The fights are balanced out by the playing, exploring, laughing, reading, and causing mischief together.  Last week their entertainment skills were put to the test as the Iowa rainy season was well underway.  I heard Alec mention "the cave" to Lyssa a couple different times, but wasn't sure what he was really talking about.  Then I learned that my coat closet is no longer a coat closet/safe home for the vacuum.  It is in fact The Cave where there is much to explore, digging for treasures through coat pockets, old backpacks, and vacuum attachments.  It's also a good spot to settle down and read a book or tuck away a favorite toy for safe keeping.

Imaginations are growing in this house... and I love it.

I've been trying to hide in my own cave now for years, but somebody always discovers it! It's so cool that they've figured this out.

Imagination is a wonderful thing. Grow it. Cultivate it. Before the standardized tests squash it like a bug on the kitchen floor.
