There is a creative blog I frequent (that among many other very cool things) does "Yays and Boos" of the week, and I always find it entertaining. This isn't quite the same or nearly as cool, but I was thinking in this mode today so here are my
Yays and Boos of last week.
Monday: We woke up to a flooded basement. Boo. Alec woke up from naptime and threw up all over his crib. Double Boo! We spent the rest of the day on the couch watching "Cars" on the portable DVD player. Alec downed some special apple juice (pedialite, and apple juice mixed with Sprite) from his friend, Carter. Yea!

Tuesday: Another day spent on the couch. Boo. Alec kept everything down all day but mostly just ate bananas, cheerios, and special "extra yummy applesauce" from his buddy Carter. Yea! Isn't everything is always extra yummy when it's special from a friend? We decided to get some fresh air that evening and take a much needed walk around the neighborhood to enjoy all the beauties of Spring. Yea!
Wednesday: Busy as a bee, it was the first day of the week I put on mascara, first day we really got out of the house, and the day that Lyssa got her 15 month shots and we found out she once again has a double ear infection. YEA! Yea! and Booooooo! (at least she's still smiling right?)
Thursday: I had Mommy time to go run errands without babies, and found outdoor fabric for my outdoor bistro table and chairs for only $3! YEA! Babies played with Miss Robyn (one of our favorite people) and friends. Yea! I got a nasty migraine all afternoon. Boo! Alec went home teaching with Nick and had a blast playing with the "Big Dogs!" Yeah! I tried to wrap my hair in a towel and threw out my neck. Double Booo!

Friday: I woke up and couldn't move my head. Boo! Nick took the day off work to help out with the kiddos. Yea/Boo. Nick took Alec to Brighter Beginnings and Alec had a great time! YEA! Thanks to hot packs, stretching, bags of frozen peas, and lots of Motrin I could move my neck in almost all directions by late afternoon. Yea! Nick and I went on a fabulous date to paint a serving bowl together to add to our collection. Double YEA!
Saturday: Nick and Lyssa get up at 3:30 AM to leave on their adventure to Idaho. Boo (for me). Alec hangs with his main man, Jakob, while Tiffany and I pin fabric dolls together at the Relief Society Service Project. Yea! Alec I and explored the local zoo and ate ice cream for dinner. Yea! Alec tells me that the ice cream makes his "stomach feel sick", and I feel like a lousy parent. Boo. Kamala and Travis come over to chat and play the evening away. Yea!
Sunday: Alec and I sleep in, and eat a yummy breakfast. Yea! Alec acts like an angel through most of Sacrament Meeting. Yea! Singing Time goes surprisingly well, and Alec survives nursery with the help from Carter-man and Miss Mandy. Yea, Yea! Mac and cheese for dinner, a visit to meet Becca's newborn, and exploring the beach at the local reservoir are all welcomed activities by the little man. Yea!
