Popcorn Popping

Last Friday Alec was finally on drugs to help with his ears and his teeth, but he was still acting a little lethargic. I got sick of reading the same books over and over and it was still too freezing and cloudy outside for a walk. I was feeling desperate for Spring and started singing songs to Alec. I sing "Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree" to him all the time and he's starting to pick up the actions. Then a brilliant idea came to mind! I put a big sheet down on the living room floor and pulled out the popcorn popper (thanks Mom! I love it!) and showed Alec how it works! He was wide eyed as I let it get all over and we played in it for over a half hour. He loved it and even got to try some little pieces. We had a blast making a mess and when the novelty wore off, I just swept a bunch into a bowl and took the sheet outside to shake it off. What fun!
