~He's Growing Up~

"I'm Three" he declared to the doctor with pride, "and Lyssa is two."  Yes, on Thursday we went to the doctors office for our annual well-baby check up.  And that morning in a whole new way it dawned on me that my little boy is growing up.
He's silly.  He's polite.  He's down right rude.  He's potty trained!  He's extremely verbal.  He's capable of carrying on an intelligent conversation.  He's sweet.  He's angry.  He's grouchy.  He's running and jumping and climbing.  He's stubborn.  He's picking out his own clothes.  He's obsessed with Buzz Lightyear, Lightening McQueen, Superman and Batman.  He's sleeping in a big boy bed all through the night and still taking naps most days.  He's cuddly.  He's getting his own shoes on.  He's wearing a backpack and going to preschool.  He's asking me if I'm in a "bad mood".  He's coming home from preschool telling me all about things like the color blue and rectangles.  He's saying please, and telling me I look pretty today.  He's "reading" stories to his sisters.  He's standoff-ish.  He's sitting through Bearestain Bear books and would have me read to him for hours a day if I would.  He's friendly.  He's singing "Life is a Highway" verbatim.  He's observant.  He's belting "Yellow Submarine" by the Beatles in the car.  He's playing hide and seek.  He's cutting with scissors.  He's giving me advice about life.
He's growing up!!!!!
And with so much life, and so much personality I can't help but fall in love with him a little bit more every day.
Thanks for making me a Mom, Mr. Alec.
I'm so glad you came to our family.

These photos are HILARIOUS!

And is he really pants-less at Lyssa's party?

I love it!
