Reading lots and lots of books, together as well as individually (a new family favorite in our house is "Kid Tea" by Elizabeth Ficocelli)...
Bundling up for any outing we can go on (when it's not 20 below zero)....

and playing sleep. (I love it when they play this game)
The kids have enjoyed playing with their new toys from birthdays and Christmas...
and were way excited about these new bells Grandma Shannon gave us for her backwards birthday!
I continue to try out new do's on Lyssa's ever growing hair,
and she is ever growing patience with me while I do it.
Lyssa continues to be a total cheese, charming us with her dances, songs, giggles, and smiles. She's our little "Independent Woman". Just ask her and she'll let you know.
Alec continues to spend most of his days pants-less....

and refuses to wear anything that doesn't symbolize superheros (or Buzz Light Year, who I guess could be considered a super hero depending on how you look at it).
He also continues to avoid taking normal pictures, and the few times I do attempt to play paparazzi he refuses to make a normal face for the camera. I don't mind though. He cracks me up almost every time.
So, I guess what I'm trying to say is
"Despite the fact that it's January, we're doing GrrrrREAT!"
Even better... we're going on vacation next month!
Well, some of us are going on vacation.
Nick is going to Thailand and Indonesia for work. Tough break, man.
Meanwhile the babies and I will head to warm weather in the great state of Utah!
(Who knew Utah would ever be considered "warmer weather". Ha!)
Life is good.

If you need any help or a break from your little cuties while Nick is gone, CALL ME!!! And if we don't have a major snow/ice storm this week you guys should come play on Thursday if you are not busy. :)
I love the facial expressions. Big expressive faces are so much more fun than frozen cheese faces.
I know you'll be busy while your out here but I'd really like to get together if you have a moment or two. Call me 801-367-6953
