~Oh, what do you do in the winter time....~

...when all the world is frozen? We go swimming indoors! My parents graciously offered to pay for a hotel room at the Indoor Waterpark Hotel Nick took us to back in October. With Nick's Pioneer employee discount we got a steal of a deal on the room, but still had to buy extra passes for everyone. It was very generous of my parents to take all of us. Everyone had a blast, swimming in the pirate ship pool, racing down the water slides (big and small), teaching the kids to swim, balancing on basketballs in the lap pool, and relaxing and warming up in the hot tub.

Seriously,she tried this on me, but the water was so shallow I felt like I was doing a pushup with a baby on my back the entire time.

After swimming for hours on end we loaded back into the hotel room and chowed down on Papa Johns Pizza, apples, and homemade chocolate chip cookies. (See, Lyssa totally had the right idea making cookies!) In some ways this was part of Alec's birthday celebration so we gave him one of the basketballs and everyone went around signing the ball for him.

Lyssa got the other ball, and was perfectly happy with it not being signed.

That evening we took everyone back to the house and put the babies to bed. Then Nick and I headed back over to the hotel for the night. Thanks, Erin and Ryan, for staying the babies and taking care of them the next morning.
