Her year stats (that were actually taken at 13 months) are as follows:
Height 29 inches (35%)Weight 19 lbs. 11 oz. (20%) Head Cir. 17 7/8 inches (51%)
She still isn't all that big... but she sure is bigger than she started!
The golden girl, birthday princess, through and through.
And Cordy is everywhere! Trying to take her picture now is like chasing a playful kitten. She is all over the place, crawling as fast as she can, getting into everything. The world is her playground and entertainment center. Stop to smile for a picture? Okay...but only for one second. Then she's off again to discover something new.
Dearest Cordelia,
It really is hard to believe that you are already 12 months old. The time has gone by so fast! You have grown and changed so much this past year, from a quiet tiny little baby to a squishy little lady, crawling, climbing, laughing and babbling. You don't like to slow down and never want to be left out. You follow your siblings around all the time, and when they let you join in on their games you are always so happy. They are lucky to have you and you are very lucky to have them.
I knew before you were born that you needed to come to our family. You bring another beautiful personality into the mix, and you add an element of calm to our world. I've often called you my "chill" baby because most of the time you are pretty laid back. You sleep like a champ, you go with the flow, and you just don't cry all that much.
You have been pretty quiet for the most part up until now. You know what a cow, a duck, a dog, and a sheep, and a fish say. Other than that you babble at us like you know exactly what you are saying, using all sorts of different sounds. Even if I can't understand what you are saying, it makes me so happy when you talk to me. I hope we can always talk, especially when you get bigger.
You are so friendly to everyone, and steal the show everywhere we go. I can't make it in and out of a grocery store without people wanting to talk to you. It seems like you smile and wave at everyone. I can't help but laugh when I catch you flirting with the little old grandpa's at McDonalds. You make their day brighter and teach me that everyone can use a genuine smile and happy little wave in their day.
You are a sucker for your Daddy, and love him to pieces. He's your favorite guy around and quite possibly your favorite person. It's okay. I know that right now I'm a very close second, and I'm content with that position. :-) Your smiles and laughs and playtimes with Daddy always melt my heart. You are a really lucky little girl to have a Daddy that loves you sooo much.
I can't imagine my life with out you, little one. I must admit that when I'm pregnant, in the back of my mind I always wonder if I can love another child as much as my previous children. Then I find out that my heart is bigger than I realized and there is a huge spot waiting just for you! There have been times when I've thought my heart would burst with all the love and joy you have brought into my life. Thank you, for coming to our family. Thank you for being my daughter and giving me the amazing opportunity to be your mother, to learn from you and love you every single day. I love you more than all the stars in the sky.
Love always,
Your Mommy

I want a black and white little number that fits me as cute as that one fits Cordy! She is as gorgeous as ever.
