~Idaho Vacation 2011: Yellowstone National Park~

While we were up in Island Park we drove 30 minutes north and spent a day driving around Yellowstone National Park.  The kids went kind of crazy, getting in and out of the car all day, but really liked the geysers.
We all enjoyed the views, and the paint pots were a total hit.
Despite it being the middle of July it was still pretty chilly during the day.  Lyssa sure enjoyed cuddling up with Nichelle as we walked around.
We did make it to Old Faithful and a number of waterfalls, but the kids were pretty crabby and I was exhausted/carsick so we don't have any pictures of those beautiful views.  Still it was fun to show the kids a glimpse of Yellowstone, and see a few animals along the way.  I can't wait to go again when the kids are a little older.
Thank you, Grandma Lael, Grandpa Stuart, and Nichelle for helping to make it happen!

More fun! I'm so glad you never stop:-) I love Yellowstone, but it makes me crazy to get in and out of the car all day, too. Have to learn to hike long distances to avoid that.
