After a long battle last school year I conceded and let Alec give up naps about part way through the year. Then at the beginning of the summer when Elyssa started protesting naps I didn't fight it. I just figured we were moving into the no nap stage of childhood. As the summer went on I could tell they were still pretty tired most days though. Tired enough to fall asleep like this on a daily basis for weeks on end....
I think most of the month of August Elyssa took a nap on the couch, cuddled with a stack of books.
One afternoon I went looking for Alec (as he was being very quiet) and found him naked but covered in a blanket, fast asleep on the hardwood floor right next to his bed. Sometimes I just don't understand that silly little boy.
Maybe we haven't completely moved out of the nap stage... at least in the active summer time anyway.

The shorts that stand up by themselves make me laugh. It's just so funny!
Can't tell you how many times I go to check on Isaac before heading off to bed and I find him on the floor right next to his bed!! Crazy little boys...
That's so cute.
It's like the Dr. Seuss green pants story! I love that Lyssa has the book next to her titled My Grandma is Wonderful:-)
